LONDON , LONDON , UNITED KINGDOM, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Expana Launches Expana IQ Forecasts, Adding More Than 500 New Price Forecasts Across 16 Commodity Categories
London, August 13, 2026 – Expana, the agrifood commodity intelligence platform built on independent price reporting, today launched Expana IQ Forecasts, adding more than 500 new forecasts across 16 top-level commodity categories in its initial batch, a 24% expansion of Expana’s total forecast coverage. The launch gives procurement and finance teams visibility into far more of what they buy and sell, from deeper coverage of Red Meat, Seafood, Vegetables & Pulses and Fruit & Juices to first-time coverage of Herbs & Spices, Chemicals and Food Ingredients.
Expana IQ Forecasts are model-generated price projections built on several prices including Expana Benchmark Prices. For each commodity, Expana’s data science team selected the statistical or machine-learning approach best suited to that market, applied AI selectively and always under the team’s supervision. Each forecast covers the coming 18 months with a low and high price range, refreshes weekly and comes with AI-generated commentary on what’s driving the outlook.
“Our Core forecasts carry the judgment of an analyst who knows a market inside out and that’s not going away,” said Luana Clapis, Chief Data Officer at Expana. “Expana IQ Forecasts allow us to extend that coverage through data-driven models, bringing a strong discipline to new markets we couldn’t previously cover at this depth. A forecast is only useful if a team can act on it, and that’s exactly what this gives procurement and finance teams; a data-driven view of where costs could be heading, with a plain-language explanation of why.”
The new coverage spans 16 top-level categories, including three entirely new — Herbs & Spices, Chemicals and Food Ingredients. The largest gains are in Vegetables & Pulses, now at 109 forecasts, Red Meat at 1,042, Fruit & Juices at 85, and Seafood at 166.
