Holdings Launches Free AI Invoicing That Works Inside Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor

Users can create, send, and track invoices by asking the AI assistant they already use — with no monthly fee.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Holdings, the connected financial platform for founders and operators, today launched free invoicing that runs directly inside AI assistants, including Anthropic’s Claude, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and the Cursor code editor. Using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside tools — users can draft and send an invoice, collect card or ACH payment, and check whether it has been paid by asking the assistant they already work in, without opening a separate app.

Most invoicing tools charge a monthly subscription and require the user to open a dashboard and fill out a form for every invoice. Holdings takes a different approach on both counts. There is no subscription for invoicing, and there is no separate app to learn. A user connects their AI assistant to Holdings once, then bills in plain language — for example, “Invoice Acme Corp for 12 consulting hours at $150.” The assistant drafts the invoice, the user confirms it, and Holdings sends it and reports back when the payment clears.

Holdings can offer invoicing at no cost because it does not depend on invoicing for revenue. The company earns a small margin on the payments its customers collect, through its Stripe-based payment processing, rather than on a per-seat subscription. That structure lets Holdings provide unlimited invoicing free and still operate as a business — the company makes money when its customers get paid, not when they send an invoice.

“Most people already ask an AI assistant to draft the email and do the math.
